Useful vs. Useless

Are we telling our youth they have value and are full of possibilities? Do we encourage them to dream, work hard and not reject the struggles that will sometimes come their way? We will find when preoccupation of self is removed and seeds are planted of being part of a greater cause for usefulness then our culture as a whole will reap greater benefits. These babies, children, and teens are the future citizens of the world. They need to know they have a big part to play and have a good reason for living.

Parents Role

Are we focusing on our family or making sure our family is focused? As parents we have the responsibiity and God-given duty to steer our children to God’s Word. When we impart it’s teachings we can be assured we will see more love than hate. We will see a trend emerge of strong, purposeful young people equipped with vision, mental clarity and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Faith

Trials, conflict and testings are all part of life. We can trust the Word God to direct and guide us to raise the next generation with confidence. “When faith goes to market it always takes a basket.”

Wise Words

“The Bible contains more knowledge necessary to man in his present state than any other book in the world.”

Benjamin Rush
Founding Father

Catering vs Equipping / Thought Provoking

As a society, children are our greatest natural resource! Youth has always represented hope, promise for the future, and champions of discovery. Unfortunately, the last generation has struggled with identity crises, digital drug addiction, depression, and a host of other heart-wrenching problems. We must ask ourselves the questions. Are we catering to them by giving them things and only what they want? Or are we equipping them with our time, godly training, and responsible Christian living education? God’s Word needs to get back in the homes of America as the blueprint for stronger, stable families. The young people of today need to hear the old, old story retaught of Jesus and His love.

Thought of the Day

I believe no challenge or duty is more important to the character of America’s future than instilling in its youth, the knowledge of God’s Word and living by it.

I-phone vs. Rotary

Today’s youth have no idea of the past and what used to be, just like this analogy with phones. The first books of the Bible are very clear that the way children were taught was through stories and were passed down from one generation to the next. How will children ever learn if the older generation does not teach them? In Nehemiah 8:14-15 it says the ancient Jews rediscovered Truth that had been forgotten about their own history. In the process they had forgotten about God’s promises, the key to blessings. The Bible and it’s precepts need to be returned to it’s rightful place, at the center of our family circle.

We only have our children for a few years, but these are the MOST impressionable years of a lifetime. This is our opportunity to impart to them a clear view of God’s wonderful plan of salvation and His promises to stand on with complete certainty. We can bring them into remembrance what past generations did to invite Him into daily living using ordinary people of all ages and this helps our young people gain security and purpose in their own lives.

We must not let a child’s soul slip into dark eternity. Our hearts should be burdened to lead our dearest treasures to know and follow Jesus and not fall prey to the evils of this world. May we lead our children to the knowledge of Christ and let them know we care a million times more about their soul than we do the world’s possibilities.

We should value our children more than we are evaluating them. The woke culture has infected thinking that has changed the prospective of how we raise our children. Youth has always represented hope, dreams and accomplishment.

Remember you can’t teach what you do not know. We need to get back to Isaiah 38:19 (The Living Bible)
The living, only, the living , can praise You as I do today. One generation makes known Your faithfulness to the next.

Character Counts!

Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate the false way. Psalms 119:104

God’s thoughts spring from within the young Believer as intuitive thoughts and feelings of their own mind, so it is not so much Christ and us, but rather Christ in us. Young people can let God carry out His plans for them without anxiety, fear, or despair.

Quality of character and nobility of spirit will and can result in successful Christian living when the Bible and usefulness in God’s Kingdom is central in one’s life.
